How to Prepare for Your First Tattoo

Before the Tattoo
Getting your first tattoo is an exciting experience! Here are a few tips on how to prepare:
1. Choose Your Design Thoughtfully
Don't be afraid to consult with your tattoo artist. Bring references — photos of designs you like — and describe your vision. The more information you give us, the better we can advise you.
2. Choose the Right Placement
Every part of the body has a different sensitivity level. For a first tattoo, we recommend:
- Forearm — moderate pain, great for larger designs
- Shoulder — low pain, easy to conceal
- Calf — moderate pain, plenty of space
3. The Day Before the Tattoo
- Get a good night's sleep
- Avoid alcohol
- Drink plenty of water
- Eat nourishing food
4. On the Day of the Tattoo
Arrive on time in comfortable clothing. Feel free to ask anything — we're here for you!
After the Tattoo
Proper care of a fresh tattoo is key to a beautiful result:
- First 2–3 hours: Leave the protective film on
- First week: Wash with gentle soap, apply a thin layer of cream
- 2–4 weeks: Don't pick at the flakes, avoid sun exposure and swimming pools
Every tattoo is an investment in yourself. Give it the time and care it deserves.
